About Me

Hey there, I’m so glad you found our site! My name is Meg, and I’m the Corporate Veggie, or CP VG for short.

I’ve always loved learning. In fact, I’ve spent nearly half my life in STEM. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering and spent the last decade working for major corporations as their subject matter expert in my field.

As much as I love the challenges of engineering, I quickly found that my health and wellness took a backseat. I felt tired and foggy. My skin was broken out. My body’s cycles were inconsistent and sometimes painful. I watched my friends and colleagues struggle with the same and worse. I exercised more and tried countless expensive products and supplements, but nothing seemed to have a substantial, lasting impact. Engineering had afforded me interesting work, a comfortable living, and the ability to travel and experience things I wouldn’t have been able to otherwise, but I wondered what was missing. As a person who made a career of finding engineering solutions for companies, why was I having so much trouble finding wellness solutions for myself? It seemed to me that chronic un-wellness was the inevitable fate of the modern working person.

When I picked up a copy of The China Study by Dr. T. Colin Campbell in the winter of 2017, my outlook, and my life, was changed forever. I never knew that the evidence behind a whole foods, plant-based diet was as clear, sound, plentiful, or accessible as it is. The solution was simple: Plants. Lots and lots of plants. My husband (also an engineer), and I immediately began preparing our own plant-based meals and after about 6 months, we completely ditched dairy. I read and watched everything I could get my hands on about a whole foods plant based diet, and received my certificate in plant-based nutrition from eCornell in the summer of 2021.

Eating this way, above all else, has brought stable, consistent improvement to my health and well being. I feel better, I live better, and I perform better at work. I’m passionate about sharing the facts behind plant based nutrition. I have experienced the benefits myself and see it as a critically necessary tool for a happy, healthy workplace and thriving employees.
